We reached out to the witnesses. From their accounts, it seems their mysterious savior is Xavier, a Deepspace Hunter.

Deepspace Hunters don't work in a specific location as no place is immune to Wanderer attacks, whether it's a busy street corner or an abandoned building. Not to mention, tracking down the elusive Xavier is a challenge in itself.

Unfortunately, we were always a step behind him. Whenever we arrived at the scene of the Wanderer attack, there were no traces of the enigmatic hunter. Only the remnants of Wanderers remained, for they were already dealt with.

However, after several unsuccessful attempts, we noticed the areas Xavier visited shared the following similarities:

Luckily, at two places that suffered from Wanderer attacks, we met people who claimed to know Xavier. They were willing to reveal some information about him.

Strange. The two people we interviewed gave us conflicting details about Xavier's job and age... Could they have confused him with someone else?

"Nobody's been to his home. Don't even know where he lives. We never saw him after work or spending time outside."

"He became a hunter? Did he change occupations? Wait, isn't this a photo of his relative?"

"You're mistaken."

"Huh, my former coworker?"

"That retired Evol police officer… might be getting older and remembered the wrong person."

"The woman was a child at the time and in a very dark place. She didn't see the person's face clearly."

"I am but an ordinary hunter."

May I ask how old you are?

"Twenty-three."

Q2: As a hunter, you must have visited many places. Is there one you like in particular?

"The kitchen."
